Proving the excellent service quality and professionalism of Litro Gas Lanka sales professionals, the company’s sales force won 11 awards including four Gold awards, three Silver awards, three Bronze awards as well as a merit award at the National Sales Congress 2017 (NASCO) organized by Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM). The awards ceremony took place on November 2nd at the Eagles' Lakeside Banquet & Convention Hall in the presence of Mr. R. Renganathan - MD/CEO of Ceylinco Life who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. NASCO, the only national level event to recognize and reward the Sales Force of Sri Lanka recognizes and rewards sales personnel covering a spectrum of business sectors.
Commenting on the recognition that the company’s sales received at NASCO 2017, Mr. Chaminda Ediriwickrama - Director- Sales and Marketing/Corporate Affairs - Litro Gas Lanka Limited /Litro Gas Terminal Lanka Ltd said, “Our sales professionals embrace the ever evolving role of being agents of advocacy to transform the quality of life of all Sri Lankans, especially Sri Lankan mothers as evidenced by the successful the Garu Ammawarune campaign. Four Sales professionals from Litro Gas Lanka won Gold awards at NASCO 2017, namely; V Ketheeswaran - Sales Project Manager - Corporate Selling, Gayan Rathnayake - Area Sales Manager - Domestic Utility, Isuru Mangalajeewa - Sales Executive - Corporate Selling and Ayantha Fernando - Sales Executive - Domestic Utility. The three Silver awards were won by Mohomed Sarjoon - Area Sales Manager - Domestic Utility, Tharindu Hemachandra - Senior Sales Executive - Domestic Utility and Amila Rajapakshe - Sales Executive - Corporate Selling. The three Bronze awards went to Piyal Kolombahettige - Area Sales Manager - Domestic Utility, Milinda Herath - Sales Executive - Corporate Selling and Buddika Chathuranga - Sales Executive - Domestic Utility. Janaka Pathirathne - National Sales Manager from the Domestic Utility unit won a Merit award.

Organized for the 17th consecutive year, NASCO awards are presented to 22 business sectors. In addition to Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, best female sales personnel were also recognized under each category. As the National Body of Marketing, SLIM has been in the forefront in fostering marketing knowledge and best practices in the country. The event attracted a record number of applications this year with five to 50 contestants taking part from 22 industries under three categories, namely, front-liners, sales executives and territory managers. The applicants hailed from 110 companies out of which 12 were first-timers.
